A profile picture, cover image, interests and your own timeline with photos and videos. Share publicly, with friends or just for yourself. Find people through their posts, make connections and keep talking – in a website chat or your personal conversation.
Without a browser plugin.
Right in the conversation.
You decide which websites belong. Open IconCU and use Add website manually to enter a public web address. Its website chat and Second Layer appear in your list on the left – no browser plugin needed.
With a browser plugin, your browser tabs appear automatically. Without one, choose the websites yourself. Up to 200 websites can be connected at once. Manual entries are saved and can be removed with ⋯.
Open the Web App. Add an address. Start talking ↗Just what you need right now.
Under Show, choose “Posts & topics only”, “Reviews only” or another tile. “Back to my view” restores your selection. Hide or show individual areas under “My view”. “Default” shows your saved tile view. Only “Restore default layout” under “My view” resets the order and visible tiles; your content is retained.
Invite friends by email
Up to 250 addresses per invitation, with a total of 500 per day per account. Select and filter up to 5,000 addresses from a contact file. Supported browsers also offer a device contact picker. Your address book is not read in the background. You need a verified account email and the recipients’ prior consent. Once signed in, downloads and invitations are also available directly on the account page.

The online count in a website chat opens its participant list. Discover shared profile details, open a profile and connect with a friend request or personal message – even before the first chat message.
Choose from five chat sounds, automatic window opening and personal notifications using the gear on the right. Your saved Second Layer view is retained even when you restore the default split.
Your workspace. Your community.
Under View, “Shown” and “Hidden” identify active areas. In Second Layer, configure posts, reviews, photos, videos, chat and presence individually. At the bottom, “Just published” shows new public content from different Second Layers, with a filter for each content type.
Your current profile picture accompanies your name even in older chats and comments. Administrators can remove public posts, reviews and media when needed. Private conversations stay private.

From level 0 to 20: earn experience points with your account by sharing posts, photos, videos or links, commenting, reviewing and joining conversations. See your progress on your profile.
Each level brings a bigger challenge. Your online ring gains new colours, turning gold at level 20. The ring still only shows your online status when you are visible.
Level 20, “Community Legend”, is a long-term achievement: 750,000 XP. There is no daily limit for real community activity. Simply staying online does not count. Documented team work earns comparable points. Taking a break costs nothing; levels do not grant administrative powers.

The profile reward is awarded once. Repeated content, the same rating or adding the same favourite again earn no extra points. Chat messages must contain at least eight characters. Your points are shared across all devices.
All levels, ring colours and your rewards
Show what makes you unique: each level earns you a new title. You can still select titles you have already earned in your profile. From level 2, you gain more personal favourite collections; from level 3, you can feature special content in your profile showcase. You choose who can see it.

Every level-up is celebrated the next time you open IconCU. If you wish, a congratulations email is sent to your verified address. Reduced-motion settings keep celebrations calm. Your achievements and points stay with you across all devices.
Your account gives you website chats, groups and your own posts from the start. Additional feature restrictions by level group are currently switched off. Experience reflects your participation; it never grants administration rights.
The web app remains free to use without registration. Only signed-in members earn experience points.
XP
Members and administrators follow the same community rules: posts, comments, chats and ratings count equally. A like or helpful mark on someone else’s content earns 2 XP by default; toggling it again earns no extra points. There is no daily limit. The current values in your profile apply.
Release emails cover actual changes to the PC App or Web App, including their design. Website-only, administration-only, server-only or plugin-only changes do not trigger a release email. Your verified consent and unsubscribe preferences continue to apply.
A person replies. Their institution is clearly identified.
Create a personal account or an individual representative account for a business, publisher, embassy or another institution. Each additional team member uses a separate invited account.
Posts, comments and chat messages display a colored institution label alongside the person. Self-declared and verified affiliations remain distinguishable. This label is independent of the XP level.
Second Layers are public spaces for people. An institutional affiliation gives a business no special control over posts, reviews or the community of its website.

Business and institution accounts are also free during the launch phase. Paid usage is planned later; the final pricing for organization size and additional representatives has not yet been set. No payments are currently initiated.

Next confirms the current item and adds a checkmark. Once all twenty functions are confirmed, the tour no longer opens automatically. End, X, Escape and clicking outside also permanently dismiss the automatic offer.
Continue later saves your current position and pauses the automatic introduction. Open your profile at the bottom left and Introductions & Help to resume or replay individual tours at any time.
